Howdy, and welcome to my website!

My name is Nicole Soh and I started scrapbooking in 1987.  I had a new baby and a friend taught me to "scrapbook" using construction paper and saved decorations cut from the wrapping paper from my baby shower!  In 1996 I was introduced to "safe" photo preservation techniques (away went the construction paper!) by a friend, and began creating albums using photo-safe products.  The following year I met my first Creative Memories Consultant, and even though I was using what I discovered other CMCs referred to as "contraband," she welcomed me and my top-loading 3-ring binders at her events.

I continued to scrapbook "my way" for several years, through several moves with my husband's military career.  In 2002 I attended a National Scrapbook Day crop at Fort Bragg, North Carolina, and they had a bingo game where you could win prizes.  In order to complete a "bingo" one square said "ask your Consultant about the Consultant Kit," so I did!  Then I asked a few more questions, and by the end of the day I decided to sign up!

I became a CM Consultant on May 6th, 2002 (had to wait till the following Monday to fax in my Consultant Agreement!) and quickly learned that my favorite part of this new adventure was hosting crops and scrapbooking with my friends!  My husband deployed to Afghanistan in August of that year, and I found that my CM business kept me sane - and forced me to clean my house even when I just wanted to lie in bed all day feeling sorry for myself!

I consider myself to be a "non-denominational scrapbooker", and although I love the CM products (especially the albums and the tools!) I know that it's not fair to ask one company to be all things to all people, and so I do use other products in my albums and welcome them at my crops.

In October 2010, my husband retired from the Army after 24 1/2 years, and we moved to Madison, Alabama.  In 2013 I took a hiatus from CM as they went through some corporate changes, but in 2014 the company was under new ownership and as soon as it opened back up for new sign ups, I joined!  November 7th, 2014 is a day I'll always remember, because the CM that I knew and loved was back and better than ever!!

Since then I've renewed my love of scrapbooking with my friends and have made some great connections with people who love it as much as I do!   I have over 100 completed 12x12 albums on my shelf, and although I'm not "current" I get a lot of satisfaction out of creating albums of our family's adventures - even the day-to-day adventures that more and more seem to revolve around our cats!

Personally, I'm a mom of three (and a half) adult kids. The half is my sister’s son who moved in with us in 2019 and we now claim as part of our family.   I love all things Disney (especially visiting the theme parks, Mickey Mouse and Jiminy Cricket) and reading (mostly Epic Fantasy, especially Brandon Sanderson).  We have one spoiled tuxedo cat, even though turns out I'm allergic to cats (thank goodness for big pharma!)

Over the past few years as my children have “grown and flown” I have had a lot more time to devote to my business, and have been able to secure a permanent workshop space outside my home where I’m able to host multiple scrapbooking events every month. I would love to have you join us if you are local to the Huntsville/Madison Alabama area!

I look forward to getting to know you and hope you'll stick around!  Join my Facebook group (link on home page) to get to know other scrapbookers who share this love of album making!
